Simple & Delicious Recipe For Vegetable Chopsuey
- Some vegetables (carrots, beans, cabbage, potatoes)
- An onion
- 4 cloves of garlic
- Teaspoon of pepper
- Tablespoon of butter
- Teaspoon of oil
- Teaspoon of vinegar
- Tablespoon of corn flour
- 3 Tablespoons of water
- Sesame oil
In this recipe 2 carrots, some beans, a potato, a small piece of cabbage and an onion are used. Any appropriate vegetable for this. Baby corns also can be added.
First cut the vegetables. Cut them into medium sized pieces. Remember to cut the potato into small pieces because it takes more time to cook. Then cut the onions.
Next separate the cabbage layers and break them into pieces using your hand. Keep them in the salt water to remove all the chemicals and germs it may contain.
Then cut the 4 garlic cloves also. Cut them into small pieces.
Then add 1 tbsp of butter to the pan. Margarine can be used instead of the butter. Add 1 tbsp of oil after butter. When the butter is melting, add the garlic. Fry them. Then add the onions before the garlic turns into brown color.
Next add the carrots and the potato slices. Fry them using high heat for a few minutes. Then add the beans after 2 minutes. Fry them. Next add the cabbage. Then add 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of pepper powder. Salt and pepper powder can be added to your taste.
Next add 2 tbsp of water and mix. Close the lid and cook for 4 minutes. After 4 minutes add 1 tsp of vinegar. Vinegar is not essential. Don’t add vinegar if you’re allergic for that.
Next add 1 tbsp of corn flour and 3 tbsp of water. Mix well. Then add it to the Chopsuey. Then close the lid and cook for another 4 minutes. After 4 minutes vegetables are cooked to the correct amount. Don’t overcook the vegetables. Finally, you can add some sesame oil for more taste. Now the Chopsuey is ready. Put them to another bowl immediately after cooking.
